VOiD is Godsticks’ darkest, heaviest, and most uncompromising album to date. Much of VOiD is driven by frustration with the binary nature of modern discourse, where context and intent are routinely discarded in favour of winning arguments. The record rejects that environment entirely, choosing introspection over confrontation, and exploring Darran Charles’ (lyricist and vocals) balancing of misanthropy with optimism, and isolation with connection.
