ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE + SIGNING

We are so excited to announce that Paul Draper will be instore on Tuesday evening the 24th February, in the week of the release of his latest Mansun Retold album which sees Paul revisit and reimagine some of the most iconic songs from Mansun’s catalogue, rebuilding them from the ground up. Recorded at The Loft Studios in Surrey, Draper co-produced the album with Paul “PDub” Walton (The Cure, Björk, Massive Attack). The new recordings feature a string quartet arranged and led by Audrey Riley (Muse, Nick Cave), with drums performed by ex-Mansun drummer, Julian Fenton. Draper handles acoustic bass, acoustic lead and rhythm guitar, and piano. On Mansun Retold, his instantly recognisable songwriting has been reinvented for the modern day.
Paul says
“I picked some of my favourite songs that I had written during my time in Mansun, ones that I also felt could be interpreted by a full unplugged acoustic band and reimagined in a more mature way for a new audience as well as existing fans.”
He will be instore at VOD for a special acoustic performance and signing at 7pm February 24th.

Hellhound, the appropriately released on a Friday 13th is the new EP by 'The Boy With The Greyhound Tattoo' and gives a loose 21st century spin on Hammer Horror monsters through four modern stories of anxiety, antagonism, animosity and fear - songs for Halloween perhaps and he will be performing it live for the very first time at our shop on SATURDAY 21st SEPTEMBER!
